New Forest heath, Test valley chalk
Two landscapes, one plan
Hampshire's most sought-after homes are spread across two very different landscapes. In the south, the New Forest National Park is a patchwork of ancient woodland and open heath grazed by free-roaming ponies, and Beaulieu, Brockenhurst and the sailing town of Lymington are among the highest-priced places in the county. To the north, the River Test, a chalk stream fished for trout, runs past Stockbridge and a string of riverside villages. Property ranges from equestrian homes with paddocks and stabling on the forest edge to country houses and cottages along the river valleys. Our Residential Security Teams provide trained, discreet operatives on site, day and overnight.
Those two landscapes ask different things of a security team. On the forest edge, open heath and woodland reach right up to paddocks and stable yards; in the Test valley, houses look over water meadows with the river running past the garden.
Every Hampshire deployment is overseen by our operations managers, who all have specialist police backgrounds, and the operations phone is answered around the clock.
Paddock, stable and riverbank
Stable yards and water meadows
An equestrian home is a busy place to protect. Tack rooms, feed stores, horseboxes and field gates all need checking, and forest tracks can bring people close to the paddocks without passing the house.
Along the Test, a country house or cottage may have a long garden running down to the water. Our operatives get to know the riverside ground as well as the rooms and doors of the house.

From the heath down to the riverbank
Every gate, yard and paddock
On open forest land a boundary can be little more than a fence line. Rounds cover the stable block, the barns and each paddock gate along with the house, which keeps theft, burglary and intruders at bay and poachers off the land.
Well-known families tend to value discretion above all. Grooms, farriers, contractors and couriers are met in the way you agree, and the plan follows the yard's routine.
Options for New Forest and Test homes
- Drone overwatch with a heat camera above the forest
- Thermal scopes for the groom's-eye check of the fields
- Contract four-by-fours for forest tracks, amphibious ones for the river
- Partner monitoring of every alarm and camera
- Emergency camera and alarm installs, done inside a day by partners
The right fit
As easy on a yard as at the door
On a working yard, a team in practical outdoor clothes looks like part of the place; at a riverside house, smart casual may suit better, and full uniform remains an option whenever you want the team noticed.
The household can ask for women on the team. Beyond that, we choose people to match the yard, the family and the way the place runs.
From dawn feeds to late checks
Shifts that start with the morning yard and end after the last walk round, or continuous cover, for a few days or for months.
Urgent cover
After an incident, call us and we will say what can be arranged and how soon. More notice lets us plan better.
Extra operatives
For a show, a party or a busy season at the yard, a much bigger team can join inside a day.
Home and away
Off on holiday? The yard and house keep their team, and close protection can come along for the journey.
Starting point
A free walk round yard, river and house
Before anything else, we come out to the Hampshire property, at no cost to you. We walk the yard, the paddocks or the riverbank as well as the house, and talk through the household's week.
Then comes a measured proposal, never more operatives than the property calls for, with staffing and costs written down before work starts.
Licences, vetting, insurance
What every Hampshire operative brings
Licence status confirmed
A current SIA licence is held by each person on a Hampshire team.
Vetting above the standard
BS7858 vetting is our starting point, with social media screening on top and DBS checks renewed sooner.
Medical help on the yard
Should a rider take a fall, help is close: everyone on the team can give medical care as well as protect.
Two policies
Public liability insurance to £10m protects people while we work, and every drone flight sits on its own £5m policy.
Management with police careers
Hampshire deployments are run by managers whose police service was spent in specialist roles. Strong ties link us with constabularies throughout Britain, and several have been trained by us in behavioural detection.
Professional memberships
Away from the company, our directors keep up memberships in the security and tactical medicine professions, at IPSA, BRITMA and the Security Institute. To support people who have served, BPS signed the Armed Forces Covenant. Within the industry, its corporate membership is with the British Bodyguard Association.
Do you cover both the New Forest and the north of the county?
Yes. We work around Beaulieu, Brockenhurst and Lymington in the south and along the Test valley past Stockbridge, with each deployment managed by our operations team.
Can you protect horses, tack and a stable yard?
We can. The yard, tack and feed stores are part of every round, and a heat-sensing drone or handheld thermal kit shows the team what is moving in the fields once the light has gone.
The Test runs past our lawn. Do patrols cover the bank?
They do. The riverbank is part of the round, and thermal cameras pick up movement along the water and the meadows after dark.
Would anyone at the yard know they were security?
Entirely your choice. Yard clothes, a jacket and tie or full uniform: the team dresses for your setting, and we pick people who suit your household.
How do you work out what cover will cost?
We begin with the property itself. Acreage, stabling, outbuildings, entrances and the hours of cover all affect how many people are needed, and every quote is based on a threat, risk and harm assessment and our own survey.
There has been a break-in at the yard: where do we start?
Ring the operations team; the line never closes. Cover can start at short notice, and a monitored camera and alarm system follows from our partners inside a day.
