Bodyguard, close protection officer or executive protection officer: what is the difference?
They are different names for the same work. Depending on where in the world you are, and the industry you work in, you may hear bodyguard, close protection, executive protection, private security or minder. At BPS they all mean one standard. All of our operators are medically trained as well as close protection trained, and many hold further qualifications such as behavioural detection and advanced driving.
Can I hire close protection for a short stay in the UK?
Yes. Short-term cover is something we do a lot of: for example two close protection officers, or a close protection officer and a driver, for four days while you are in the UK. We match you with operators who suit your lifestyle.
How do I choose a close protection company?
Make sure every operative is licensed and the company is insured, and ask how its people are vetted. Look at its reputation and reviews, and whether its operatives keep coming back to work for it. A good firm will never recommend more officers than the task needs, and will be open about its staffing and its pricing. We are happy to be measured on all of it.
