Course Structure and Dates

All learners require a Level 3 medical qualification to commence their Close Protection Course.

If you hold an existing Level 3 qualification please get in touch with us to ensure it’s suitable. You will then be guided whether to book the Close Protection Course or the Close Protection & Medical Course Package.

1. Highfield Level 3 Emergency Care for First Responders

• Dates: Monday, 6th October – Thursday, 9th October (4-days)
• This qualification provides a Level 3 medical certification, exceeding SIA
  requirements. It is essential for deployment on most close protection tasks with
  leading security companies.

2. Highfield Level 3 Close Protection Training

• Dates: Friday, 10th October – Wednesday, 29th October (20-days)
• This portion covers all key aspects of close protection, including the topics required
  for your SIA Close Protection Licence, as well as additional training that sets you
  apart in the industry.

   During the vehicle stage of our training, you won’t just learn how to be an effective passenger, but an effective Protection Driver too. You’ll be taught the syllabus of our CED Driving Course that we offer to existing CPOs as continuous professional development training.

    Alongside the SIA required search phase of this course, you will be given inputs far beyond the realms of the standard SIA syllabus, delivered by former Police Licensed Search Operatives (LSOs).

Our Training Locations

We use a state-of-the-art training facility in the Chatham Historic Dockyard, Kent. Our facility has ample free parking and all of the essentials you’d expect. The training centre is a stone’s throw away from various coffee shops, restaurants & shops.

It is handily placed next to a major bus hub which services all of the surrounding areas. Search ‘Chatham Historic Dockyard’ on the Arriva website to see your bets route.

If travelling by train to the area, the nearest stop is Chatham Station. This in on the South-Eastern service, served also by the High Speed from London St Pancras as well as regular services via London Victoria and Charing Cross.

If you require accommodation during the course there are plenty of accommodation options nearby, booking.com displays over 20 well priced options within 5 miles of the Historic Dockyard. There is a Travelodge less than 2 minutes walk from the classroom and is usually priced at around £30 per night. Accommodation is not included in the course price.

There are two ways of booking onto this course:

1. Level 3 Certificate for Close Protection Operatives in the Private Security Industry and Highfield Level 3 Certificate in Emergency Care for First Responders. This option costs £2,600 Ex Vat (£3,120 Inc Vat) – Course : L3 Close Protection & L3 ECFR
2. Level 3 Certificate for Close Protection Operatives in the Private Security Industry only. For those holding an in-date Level 3 Medical Qualification (Please call us to confirm yours is valid).This option costs £2,250 Ex Vat (£2,700 Inc Vat) – Course : L3 Close Protection ONLY
